Radial Development Group is a small Loveland, CO based software development consultancy.  We are passionate about quality code, robust systems, and good design.  We believe we can make a difference for local entrepreneurs by building great software and the best way to do that is great developers working with a great process.

Are you currently freelancing?

As compared to working as a freelance consultant, working at Radial provides a stable income. Developers at Radial are supported by a secondary business-development staff.  Others with technical expertise share the responsibility to deliver on your commitments. Technical and non-technical support staff can help you manage your project and take care of other issues as they come up.  We provide office space and equipment. We benefit from an established brand and an extensive referral network. We have an articulate company identity which helps us select projects and clients based on who we are and what they need, rather than selecting clients who would be a bad fit..

What you can expect working at Radial:

  • Autonomy – Expect to have the security of a salary with much of the independence of an freelancer
  • Code review – everyone’s code is peer reviewed from the senior-most dev on down
  • Pairing – most work we do is on workstations with mirrored displays and two keyboards
  • TDD – write tests first

What we need from you:

  • You are prepared to do business development and technical sales
  • You participate or are interested in participating in meetups and community events
  • You want to train and mentor team members
  • You are a team player who will ensure that delivery for clients occurs
  • You are familiar with or willing to learn effective customer recovery techniques
  • You are looking for a role managing people and will conduct 1-on-1’s
  • You will  obtain other feedback to make working at Radial better
  • You know how to coach other team-mates
  • You will write and review proposals
  • You will work with other management to obtain snacks and supplies
  • You will work with other management to plan and schedule projects and developers
  • You are conversant in common project management methods.
  • You are assertive and able to break large tasks into smaller one.
  • You are have mid-level to senior skills in at least one of python, ruby, or javascript.
  • You are interested in learning one or more of ruby, python, javascript, elixir, swift, android java
  • You can demonstrate rspec, testunit, mocha/chai, jasmine, or another suite you have worked with before.
  • You are familiar with tools like git, Github, Pivotal Tracker, or Sprint.ly.
  • You will do and lead code review
  • You will do and lead test-driven software practice
  • You will manage projects and customer expectations
  • You will advise client on software and technology choices
